"Who could be so lucky? Who comes to a lake for water and sees the reflection of the moon." Rumi

La muse inspirant le poète

French poet Guillaume Apollinaire
Painted by: Henri Rousseau

Suspended in the physical like notes on sheet music

Our attachment isn’t just bodily.

It’s mind boggling how our spirits transcend,

Yet we cant refuse it.

Amusing perhaps is our composition-

But more than that, it’s intricate.

See, we transition forward and back

From a next to one position

Like parallelism,

Chords moving in equivalent motions

From concrete connections to abstract emotions.

Our bodies move simultaneously to the ballads

That play in our atmosphere

As we sway back and forth…

It’s like heaven here

(Inside of us).

Hymns that come from within

Remind me of melodic colors at dusk

Or of rhythmic light that beams from a full moon,

Provoking in us a sense of absolute trust.
