The Never Ending Nowhere

She whispers in her own ears as to not hear herself –

So her words vanish in this abyss created by self-judgment.

She feels these imaginary blisters on her head

With which she yearns to pound these never ending walls,

The same walls that pushed her to the edge

On mirrored occasions to the point of no return.

But they have obstructed her path to freedom thru barbed wire

See, she used to admire herself and observed

Others’ tribulations with ease because she new truth.

In the past, she’s peeped evil and escaped before its introduction,

But these days the devil’s been loose,

Using his noose to choke her until her heart turns blue.

I pity her. Where is she? Where is she going?

She now stares in the mirror with her eyes covered,

Hiding from reality and into another world –

Curled herself invisible,

Obscured from her past and present

With no future intended.

So she swims thru relentless nights,

Fighting not to drown once she sees daylight.

I pity her. Where is she? Where is she going?
